Important information: How to make a claim following the COVID-19 outbreak
COVID-19 has already had a serious impact on many businesses and we appreciate the distress this may be causing you for your own business. In order to help our customers through this difficult period, we have been working with Covéa Insurance PLC, who underwrites the NurseryCare policy, to set up a simple claims process for our NurseryCare customers following the COVID-19 outbreak.
Details on how to make a claim can be found here.
We understand that this is a difficult time for the childcare industry, and the nation as a whole, so we appreciate your patience while we work with your Insurers to provide a smooth and efficient claims process.
Q. I have furloughed some of my staff but retaining others to work. If I choose to top the 20% shortfall in furloughed staff up and have other outgoings, how will this affect my claim?
A. As your policy covers you for your loss or reduction of income during full or partial closure (less any savings that you make), if you chose to top up the 20% shortfall in wages, then yes this is covered by the loss of revenue element of the claim. Please note the £100,000 and 3 month limit applicable to this extension in your cover.
Q. Is the insurers standpoint that we should still send out invoices each month for the care parents would have been using but aren't?
A. No. Your contract between you and your customer will guide you on the process to be followed. Your insurers will be measuring your loss of revenue/income against what you would normally have achieved during the period. Please note that you have access to the ARAG helpline on to help you with any legal queries you have about your contracts.

Nursery Insurance Reviews
We get calls from other Nursery Insurers every year offering to 'better' your prices. However, having used M M since sometime in the early 90's, we are very confident in the service that you provide and feel that it is worth paying that little bit extra, if neccessary, for our continued peace of mind. The one time that we made a claim on our Nursery Insurance, there was no hassle involved and your company dealt with it very quickly!
