Do you find meal planning stressful? Then you could tune in to the very first Instagram Cook Along series with the Infant & Toddler Forum’s (ITF) paediatric dietitian, Lucy Upton.
ITF research reveals that 40% of parents don’t feel confident knowing what to feed their toddler. And that of course can be the case for many in the early-years sector.
If you’re one of them, join paediatric dietitian Lucy Upton for a Cook Along on her Instagram profile, @childrensdietitian, every day this week, starting on Monday 16th November at 6.30pm. She will share helpful tips on toddler meal planning, fussy eating and responsive feeding, answering some of the questions she gets asked most frequently.
She will be using the recipes and tips from the ITF’s Toddler Menu Planner, a resource created to make meal planning easy and ensure toddlers receive a balanced diet every day.
During this cook along week, Lucy will cook a breakfast, a light meal, a family meal and snacks, demonstrating how easily the Toddler Menu Planner provides all the nutrients needed in a healthy diet throughout a day.
The previous lockdown showed how easy it is to slip into bad habits. A report by the Guy's and St Thomas's Charity and the Bite Back 2030 healthy eating charity describes snacking as the "biggest negative consequence" in eating habits during the pandemic, with a 40% increase in snacks.
Make mealtimes a more relaxed and happy occasion by attending this online session, following Lucy and the ITF on Instagram and get your copy of the Toddler Menu Planner to cook along with Lucy.
