Morton Michel Joins Forces with Safeguarding Fundamentals to Raise Safeguarding Standards
At Morton Michel, our support for the childcare and education sector goes beyond providing specialist insurance. That’s why we’re proud to announce our partnership with Safeguarding Fundamentals — a pioneering initiative committed to transforming the safety and wellbeing of children across all settings.
At the heart of this initiative is the Safeguarding Quality Mark, developed by Antonia Noble, a senior barrister with an international reputation in safeguarding, and Paul Stewart, former England international footballer and passionate child protection advocate. Combining legal expertise with lived experience, their work sets a new benchmark in safeguarding practice.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Morton Michel, who are real leaders in the field of children’s activities,” says Antonia Noble, Barrister and Founder of Safeguarding Fundamentals. “Their commitment to raising standards and supporting organisations aligns perfectly with our mission. Together, we’re making it easier for settings to achieve great safeguarding in a way that’s practical, clear and achievable.”
Safeguarding Fundamentals is dedicated to embedding the highest standards of child protection across all organisations that work with or support young people. Their Quality Mark is not just a certification; it represents a commitment to great practice in safeguarding. It equips organisations with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to create environments where children are safe, respected, and nurtured.
Through this collaboration, Morton Michel aims to raise awareness and promote best practice in safeguarding. Our policyholders will benefit from expert knowledge and insights, practical tools, and dedicated resources to support their journey towards achieving the Safeguarding Quality Mark and confidently fulfilling their safeguarding responsibilities.
“Partnering with Morton Michel gives us the opportunity to extend the reach of our work and support more organisations to create safe spaces for children and young people,” adds Paul Stewart, Co-Founder of Safeguarding Fundamentals. “Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and by working together we can make a real and lasting difference.”
This collaboration also reflects the shared values that underpin both organisations. As Sue Lee, Partner Relationship Director at PIB Group, explains:
“It is a pleasure to work with great people who are serious about making a difference to the safety of our children and those working with them. The system they have built is easy to navigate and provides clear steps for groups and organisations who are responsible for children.”
The importance of safeguarding is paramount to children’s safety, and this partnership reflects Morton Michel’s ongoing commitment to supporting early years and education providers in creating safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive.
We are proud to stand alongside Safeguarding Fundamentals in their mission to elevate standards in child protection and welfare. Together, we’re working to create meaningful, lasting change, ensuring every child has the opportunity to grow and flourish in a secure and supportive setting.
Further details about the resources and support available through this partnership will be shared with our policyholders in the coming weeks.
